God’s Plan For You

God Loves You

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

But You are a Sinner

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)

The Holy Spirit Convicts You of Sin

“And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin … because they believe not on me” (John 16:8-9)

Your Response is to Repent of Sin

“For I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Matthew 9:13)

And to Trust in Christ as Savior and Lord

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:9-10, 13)

Our very nature is to run from God and rebel against Him.

The Bible calls this “sin.” Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

In spite of that, God loves you and wants to save you from sin, to offer you a new life of hope.

John 10:10 says, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

God made a way through His Son, Jesus Christ, to give you this great gift of salvation.

Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

This great gift from God can only be received through faith in the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ when He died on the cross of Calvary.

Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace are ye saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Faith is a decision of your heart demonstrated by the actions of your life.

Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

If you choose in your heart to believe that Jesus died for your sins and you want to receive new life through Him, pray a prayer similar to this to thank Him for your salvation and your new life:

“Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died on the cross so that I might receive forgiveness of my sins. I now accept Your sacrifice and Your gift of eternal life. Thank You for forgiving me of all my sins. Thank you for my salvation and my new life. From this day forward, I will choose to follow You.”

*If you prayed this prayer, share your decision with a Christian friend or pastor that can help you to grow spiritually. If you are not already attending a good Bible believing church, find one in which you can worship and grow in your faith and fellowship with others of like faith.
